About Robert Simmons Marriage Celebrant
Robert Simmons has spent 19 years as a marriage celebrant and has married couples at more than 2,000 ceremonies. He works from his local knowledge of the Gold Coast, so he can talk through ceremony spots as well as the words you will say there. Each script starts with listening. Robert gets to know the couple first, then drafts a ceremony that sounds like them, with any custom rituals or symbolic touches they want added. Traditional and contemporary styles are both on offer. His range runs from beachfront weddings and small elopements to legals-only signings, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies. He is an LGBTQ+ inclusive celebrant and welcomes all identities and love stories. The first step is a relaxed conversation, in person or online, with no sales pitch attached. From there he handles the planning communication and the officiating on the day, and he can run a rehearsal beforehand so everyone knows where to stand. Robert also works as a master of ceremonies. Rather than announcing from behind a console, he stays out on the floor with guests, liaises with the venue and other suppliers, and keeps the reception moving without rushing it. His booking page lists a wedding ceremony at $500. Rehearsal coordination and vow writing are priced separately, at $200 and $150.

What happens after we send an enquiry?
Robert confirms whether he is free on your date, then sets up a relaxed chat in person or online so you can see if he suits you, with no pressure to book.
