About Shauna Rowe Marriage Celebrant
Shauna Rowe has worked as a marriage celebrant since 2012 and full-time since 2019. Before that she was a classically trained ballet dancer who performed overseas, then a resort wedding planner and coordinator, which is where her interest in weddings began. Her ceremonies aim to be relaxed, fun and engaging, and she typically spends 13 to 15 hours preparing each one. A first meeting or phone chat costs nothing and carries no obligation. The Gold Coast shapes a lot of her work. She conducts beach ceremonies from Bilinga and Burleigh Heads to Miami, garden weddings at places like Evergreen Garden Venue in Parkwood, and rainforest and winery weddings on Tamborine Mountain. The range is broad. Legals-only ceremonies last about seven or eight minutes, while elopements can include your love story, personalised vow cards and up to 30 guests. She also conducts same-sex weddings, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies, the last with a printed certificate. Her fee covers the legal work, phone calls, emails and the writing and fine-tuning of your script. Send an enquiry with your date and location to check she is available.

How much is a legals-only ceremony with Shauna Rowe?
Legals-only ceremonies are priced from $495, held Monday to Thursday up to midday around her local Gold Coast area. Adding your love story and personal vows costs a further $150.
How do we secure a date?
A $250 non-refundable booking fee secures Shauna's services and your date, and covers lodgement of your Notice of Intended Marriage with her.
Do we need a permit for a beach wedding?
Yes. Shauna notes that a ceremony on the Gold Coast sand needs approval from the City of Gold Coast council first, so build that into your planning.
Does Shauna conduct same-sex weddings?
Yes. She is a strong advocate for marriage equality and conducts same-sex weddings as well as commitment ceremonies and vow renewals.
Should we have a rehearsal?
Shauna recommends one, especially for a larger bridal party, held around the same time of day as the ceremony. An on-site rehearsal may carry an additional charge.
