About Hummerzillaz

Hummerzillaz is a family-owned Sydney limousine operator that has been running stretch Hummers since 2008, working out of Hurstville in the city's south. The fleet is built around black and white stretch Hummers in 15, 18 and 24 seat sizes, and it also takes in a stretch Chrysler, a Chrysler SRT sedan, a Mercedes E Class convertible and an HSV Clubsport for smaller groups and wedding cars. The Hummers are fitted with sideways plush seating, mood lighting, sunroofs and a sound system, plus a cold bar for the refreshments that come with the hire. Every booking is chauffeured. The drivers hold commercial passenger vehicle and bus driver accreditation, and they collect from your home, office or venue rather than a depot. Most work is a set run to a venue or a night of moving between spots, and the company also does airport and wedding transfers. Quotes are worked out on the time, the distance and the number of people, so they are given per booking rather than off a rate card. If you have left it late, the company takes bookings up to 48 hours out on standby rates. A wedding hire comes with a uniformed chauffeur, tasteful decoration, protective wheel covers to keep a dress clean, complimentary champagne and beer, a red carpet, and still photos and video of the day. The whole fleet is non-smoking under bus accreditation rules, food is not eaten on board unless it is arranged at booking, and alcohol is allowed on weddings, hens nights, bucks nights and other over-18 events. The company services Sydney, and also travels to Wollongong, the Central Coast and Newcastle.

Hummerzillaz does not publish an hourly rate card and prices each booking on the time, the distance and the number of passengers. The published guides are a hens night Hummer at about $35 per occupant, and standby rates of about $35 per person for bookings made within 48 hours of the event, subject to availability and to change. Discounted wedding packages are offered, and a Sunday special has run at $300 for one hour between March and May in past years. Card payments carry a surcharge of 2 per cent on Visa and Mastercard, 3 per cent on Amex and 4.5 per cent on Diners. Deposits are non-refundable, and money orders or cheques must clear 14 days before the booking.

Where do they pick up and how far do they travel?

Pickups are from wherever suits you, most often a home or a venue. The company covers Sydney and the surrounding regions, and also runs to Wollongong, the Central Coast and Newcastle. Gosford and Wollongong hires have their own pages on the site, so longer runs out of the city are routine rather than an exception.

How far ahead should we book?

Formals, weddings and Saturday nights in spring book out early, so get in as soon as the date is set.
