About Live Band Karaoke
Live Band Karaoke is a karaoke act with a difference: the music comes from a live rock band rather than a machine. Guests step up to the microphone and sing lead while professional musicians play the song behind them, so an office party or birthday turns into something closer to a gig. The band has worked with corporate clients including Macquarie Bank, Raine & Horne, Westpac, PepsiCo and MTV, and appeared with Channel 9's The Voice at an agency singing battle. The band does more than play. They MC the night, run the lyric screens so singers can follow the words, sing backing vocals to support nervous performers, and open with a few songs of their own to get the room going. For corporate groups they can turn the night into a team contest, organising singers by department or office, and for companies that want a bigger production they can rehearse staff ahead of time for a staged talent-show style event.
