Vibes AV & DJ Hire has supplied DJs, sound and lighting to Sydney events for more than 10 years, working in hotels, offices, private homes, wedding venues and event spaces. It's run by Oscar Jamieson, an audio engineer and DJ who sits on ARIA's DJ panel, has trained and judged for Australia's biggest DJ competition, and personally trains the Vibes DJs and technicians. Every DJ on the books has at least five years' experience, and the roster includes Oscar Jamo, Lou P and DJ Karim among others, with vocalists and instrumentalists who can be added to a booking. DJ hire covers weddings, corporate functions, birthdays and formals. You give Vibes the date, venue and the kind of crowd you expect, and they match a DJ who plans the music with you, from classic hits to current chart music; wedding DJs pace the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Prices are quoted per event rather than published, and if a smaller setup will do the job, that's what they quote. Equipment can also be hired on its own, from speakers, subwoofers and wireless microphones to uplights, moving heads, lasers and projectors, picked up from Lane Cove West or delivered for a fee. Mobile DJ packages include an hour of setup and an hour of pack-down outside the DJ's playing time, up to 45 minutes of travel each way within metro Sydney, an in-depth music consultation, all cabling, and a DJ with at least five years behind the decks. Vibes works with the venue on setup and pack-down, one coordinator looks after the whole job, the business carries public liability insurance, and a 50% deposit confirms the booking.
