About Vibes AV & DJ Hire

For more than 10 years Vibes AV & DJ Hire has been bringing DJs, sound and lighting to Sydney events, from hotel functions and office parties to house parties, weddings and other event spaces. Owner Oscar Jamieson is an audio engineer and DJ on ARIA's DJ panel who has trained and judged for Australia's biggest DJ competition, and he trains the Vibes DJs and technicians himself. Every DJ on the roster has played for at least five years, among them Oscar Jamo, Lou P and DJ Karim, and singers and instrumentalists can be added to a booking. They do DJ bookings for weddings, company functions, birthdays and formals. Tell Vibes your date, your venue and what sort of guests to expect, and they'll pair you with a DJ who works out the music with you, anywhere from old favourites to what's in the charts now. Wedding DJs manage the flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. Pricing is quoted per event rather than listed, and if a smaller rig will do, that's what gets quoted. Gear can be hired without a DJ too, from speakers, subwoofers and wireless microphones to uplights, moving heads, lasers and projectors, either collected from Lane Cove West or delivered for a fee. A mobile DJ package covers an hour to set up and an hour to pack down on top of the playing time, travel of up to 45 minutes each way inside metro Sydney, a detailed music consultation, all the cables, and a DJ with five or more years' experience. Vibes coordinates setup and pack-down with the venue, one coordinator runs the whole booking, the business is covered by public liability insurance, and a 50% deposit locks in the date.
