Exclusive Wedding DJs, which also trades as Wedding DJ Hire, is a Sydney business built around weddings rather than general mobile DJ work. It's led by a weddings and events DJ with more than 15 years of wedding experience and back-to-back awards, and every DJ it sends out has DJ'd professionally for at least seven years, with regular residencies in large public venues. Expect properly beat-matched mixing from a full-quality music collection, and a DJ who reads the room from dinner through the formalities to the dance floor. Engagement parties and corporate events are taken on too. DJ-only hire is priced from $190 per hour, and a DJ with equipment from $250 per hour, charged in half-hour blocks. Add-ons include a saxophonist from $400, a professional MC from $500 plus GST, bongos and congas for a live-percussion feel, lighting such as LED uplighting, and extra sound for bigger rooms. The MCs come from stadium and televised-event backgrounds and get to know the couple beforehand so the running order and announcements feel personal. Couples get a complimentary video or phone meeting to plan the music, including set songs for the entrance, first dance and cake cutting, and the team liaises with the venue and other contacts in the lead-up. On the day, a separate AV crew sets up the Pioneer DJ decks, mixer and QSC speakers with tidy cabling before the DJ arrives, so all the venue needs to provide is power in an agreed spot. A written service agreement comes with every booking, and the business commits to no last-minute changes from its end.
