About DJ Richy
DJ Richy runs Disc Jockey, a Sydney DJ business based in Peakhurst that specialises in English, Lebanese and Arabic events. Richy started DJing at private events in 1996, then spent time in radio and a decade in nightclubs across the Middle East, Africa and France before setting up in Sydney. He now leads a multicultural team of DJs, including female DJs for hens nights, henna nights and women-only celebrations. The music mixes mainstream English party music and Top 40 with Lebanese, Egyptian, Palestinian and Iraqi songs, and the team will play other styles if you send the titles. Announcements can be made in English and Arabic, and DJ bookings include MC service. For weddings and engagements they can add a zaffeh entry and male or female drummers, and their sound system can take other performers such as a band, singer or saxophonist. Events can be anything from 20 guests to 2,000. Booking is simple: send your details, receive a quote and pay a deposit to lock in the date. You'll then get a run sheet and itinerary to fill in with your favourite songs and do-not-plays by the due date. On the day the DJ arrives in formal dress and sets up an hour before start time, using Pioneer DJ gear, an RCF sound system, cordless mics and party lights. Standby DJs cover any mishap. Richy also teaches DJing and first dance lessons, and hires out sound systems for DIY parties.

What music does DJ Richy play?
Mainstream English music, Top 40 and party anthems, plus Lebanese, Egyptian, Palestinian and Iraqi music. Other styles can be played if you send the song titles, and the DJ takes requests on the night.
Can we book a female DJ?
Yes. Female DJs are available for hens nights, henna nights and women-only events, and they play Arabic and English music. Female drummers can be added too.
How much does a DJ booking cost?
DJ prices aren't published on the website. Send your date, venue, guest numbers and music preferences for a quote. A deposit secures the booking.
What happens before the event?
After you pay the deposit you receive a run sheet and DJ itinerary to fill in, including your favourite songs and a do-not-play list, by the due date. On the day, the DJ sets up an hour before the event starts.
What equipment does the DJ bring?
Pioneer DJ gear, an RCF sound system, cordless microphones and party lights. The system can also run other performers such as a band, singer, saxophonist or zaffeh. Let them know when you enquire so the set-up suits.
