About Cecil Park Clay Target Club
Cecil Park Clay Target Club runs from the Sydney International Shooting Centre in Cecil Park, the venue built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games shooting events. Alongside its competition program in trap and skeet, the club hosts corporate days, bucks and hens parties for people who have never held a shotgun, using the NSW Police P650 system that lets unlicensed shooters take part at an approved range. There are two group formats. A try-shooting session costs $120 per person and suits smaller groups who just want to experience it. Corporate sessions cost $160 per person and add competition-style scoring, prizes and a trophy for the highest scorer. Both include 25 clay targets, 25 rounds of ammunition, use of club firearms and basic hearing protection. Your group is split into smaller squads with an instructor each, and has sole use of the layout for the event. Only instructors handle live ammunition for unlicensed shooters. There are some rules to plan around. Participants must be 12 or older, complete and print a P650 declaration form beforehand and bring photo ID. Enclosed shoes are required, with no thongs, sandals, heels or singlets. Final numbers, with a minimum of 10 participants, are confirmed three days ahead, full payment secures the booking and payment on the day is cash only. Sessions go ahead in most weather unless there is hail or lightning. Snacks and refreshments are available on site, and a self-serve barbecue can be arranged when you book.

Do we need a gun licence to shoot?
No. Unlicensed participants shoot under the NSW Police P650 system. Each person must print and complete a P650 declaration form before the day and bring photo ID, preferably a driver's licence or passport.
How much does it cost?

Is there a minimum group size or age limit?

What should we wear?
Enclosed shoes are compulsory, so no thongs, sandals or high heels, and singlets are not permitted. Wear comfortable clothes suited to the weather, as sessions run in most conditions.
How do we book and pay?
Bookings are essential and are made by phone on 0498 261 299. Full payment secures the date, and any payment on the day is cash only. Cancelling forfeits the deposit, and rescheduling depends on availability.
