About Frida's Sip n' Paint Mooloolaba
Frida's Sip n' Paint Mooloolaba is a painting studio on First Avenue, styled with a lounge, chandeliers, a red carpet at the door and portraits of Frida Kahlo on the walls. Each class lasts around 2.5 hours, and a professional artist leads the group step by step through one featured artwork. The format is BYO, so guests bring their own wine, bubbles or beer and a few nibbles, with no corkage. The studio supplies glassware, ice buckets, paint, brushes, canvases and aprons, and you leave with your own finished canvas. Groups can join a public class and sit together, or book a private event. For hens and bridal parties the studio is set aside exclusively, with a choice of a featured painting or a custom design for a small extra cost. Hens groups also get early access to decorate and the cocktail area for 30 minutes before the class starts. The studio runs corporate team-building sessions, birthdays for adults, teens and kids, baby showers and family days too. Regular classes are for guests aged 16 and over. How much does a session at Frida's cost?
Adult classes cost between $59 and $80 a person depending on the featured painting, and kids and teens sessions start from $35. Private and exclusive events are quoted on enquiry.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. Frida's is fully BYO for drinks and nibbles with no corkage. Glassware and ice buckets are provided, though there is no serving ware for food, and hot dishes should be avoided.
What is included in a hens party booking?
Hens and bridal groups get exclusive use of the studio for a 2.5-hour session, a choice of painting or a custom design for a small extra fee, glassware, and the cocktail area for half an hour beforehand.
Is there an age limit?
Regular sessions are for guests aged 16 and over. Family sessions are marked on the booking calendar, and these run alcohol-free so kids can paint alongside the adults.
What should we wear, and do we need painting experience?
Aprons are supplied, but paint can still splash, so skip anything precious. No experience is needed, as the artist breaks each painting into easy steps for the whole group.
