About Noosa Style Ceremonies
Noosa Style Ceremonies is the celebrant business of Jay Flood, who is based in Noosa. His approach is relaxed and unscripted: he avoids clichés and over-rehearsed lines and writes each ceremony around the couple's values and the way they met. A working background in psychology, counselling and media helps him read a crowd and deliver the words naturally. He marries couples at large traditional weddings, quirky celebrations and small elopements, and welcomes couples of every background and orientation. Ceremonies can feature a handfasting, sand pouring, candle lighting, cultural traditions, personal vows and readings from family or friends. He also officiates vow renewals, commitment ceremonies and namings, and can stay on as the reception MC. The process runs in clear steps. You start with a chat by phone or in person, then Jay completes the legal paperwork for you to sign. A second catch-up gathers your love story for a personalised script, and in the week of the wedding he runs through everything so nerves stay low. On the day he brings a Bluetooth PA so everyone hears the vows and your music. Jay works across the Sunshine Coast: beaches at Noosa Heads, Peregian, Coolum and Mooloolaba, the Noosa River, and hinterland spots including Eumundi, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Flaxton and Kenilworth, as well as Caloundra, Beerwah, Palmwoods and Nambour. His fees are mid-range and quoted in full at a free first meeting.
