About Backyard Glamping Perth
Backyard Glamping Perth is a family-run business that turns an ordinary backyard into a camp-out. The team arrives with canvas bell tents, pitches them on your lawn and dresses them with mattresses, pillows, cushions, fairy lights and bunting, then comes back to pack everything away. Delivery is free across the Perth metro area. The sleepover tents come in three sizes: a 4m tent with six beds, a 4.5m tent with eight and a 5m tent with ten. Bedding includes doonas, blankets and freshly laundered covers, and thick rugs insulate the floor on cooler nights. Sleepover tents can also take a projector, with a limit of 10 guests. For a bigger group, the movie and gaming night tent swaps the mattresses for large floor cushions and shows films on the underside of the canvas, fitting up to 15 people. The projectors come with HDMI and cables, so a games console can be plugged in. Daytime hire pairs a bell tent with a low picnic setting for 10 or up to 20 guests, which suits birthdays, baby showers and hens gatherings. Styling sticks to colour schemes rather than branded characters, mostly boho neutrals with pinks, blues and black on offer. There are also romantic glamping nights for two and family camping setups with a queen bed and two singles. The business holds public liability cover and its team has Working with Children and police checks.

The movie or gaming night tent for up to 15 is $550, as is the wedding movie tent for children. Daytime tent and picnic hire is $600 for 10 guests or $660 for 11 to 20, and romantic and family glamping nights start at $495.
A $100 deposit secures the date and the balance is due seven days before. A refundable bond of $150 applies, or $200 with a projector.

How much yard space does a bell tent need?
Allow about a metre more than the tent's width: roughly 5m by 5m for the 4m tent, 5.5m by 5.5m for the 4.5m tent and 6m by 6m for the 5m tent.
Can the tent go on paving, decking or synthetic turf?
The tents are pegged into soil, so most of the area needs to be grass. Synthetic turf can work with thin pegs once the hirer agrees in writing, and odd setups may cost a little extra.
What is the difference between a sleepover and a movie tent?
A sleepover tent has mattresses, doonas and pillows for up to 10 guests. A movie tent uses big floor cushions instead of beds and fits up to 15 people for a film or gaming night.
When is the tent set up and collected?
Overnight hires are usually pitched from 7am and packed down from 9:30am the next day. Each setup takes between 45 minutes and an hour and a half.
What happens if it rains or gets cold?
The tents are fully waterproof, and for winter nights the team adds doonas, blankets and thick floor rugs, with mattresses that help hold warmth.
