About Mega Fast Karts Wanneroo
Mega Fast Karts Wanneroo is an Australian-owned hire karting business at the Wanneroo International Kartway in Neerabup, a professional outdoor circuit in Perth's north. The track runs a 750 metre layout with plenty of corners, braking points and places to pass, and senior karts can reach about 70 km/h. Groups of 14 to 20 drivers can book a Grand Prix event, run as a short series with points handed out in every race and the grid order switched between heats. The Mini Grand Prix opens with a 10 minute practice and two 8 lap races, while the larger formats add more and longer races. Whoever collects the highest points tally across the series takes a trophy home, and drivers need to be at least 14 and 138 cm tall. Smaller groups can join general hire sessions in 10 minute blocks, with junior karts from age 10 and dual karts that carry a passenger from 5 years old. Enclosed shoes are compulsory, a balaclava goes under the helmet, and a strict zero blood alcohol rule applies. The kiosk sells drinks, snacks and ice cream, and groups may bring in their own caterer since no catering is provided.

Frequently asked questions
How many drivers do we need for a Grand Prix event?
Grand Prix events are built for 14 to 20 drivers. A group with fewer than 14 can still race together by booking into the general hire sessions, which have no minimum number.
How much does a group Grand Prix cost?
The Mini Grand Prix is $120 a driver, with the Midi at $150, the Maxi at $175 and the Mega at $200. A deposit is taken to lock in the booking, and other terms apply.
Are there age or height limits?
Grand Prix events use senior karts only, so drivers must be 14 or older and at least 138 cm tall. In general hire, junior karts take drivers from 10, and dual kart passengers must be 5 and 90 cm tall.
Can we bring food for our group?
The track does not offer catering, but groups are welcome to organise their own private caterer on site. The kiosk sells cold and hot drinks, snacks, chips, lollies and ice cream.
What should drivers wear?
Fully enclosed shoes are required, and loose items like scarves, skirts and dresses are not allowed on track. Clothes that can get a bit dusty are a good idea, and a balaclava goes under the helmet.
