About MANIAX Northbridge
MANIAX Northbridge is an urban axe throwing venue at 63A John Street, part of a national axe throwing operator. The hall has six group lanes and five single lanes, holds up to 120 throwers at a time and is wheelchair accessible, with walk-ins welcome when lanes are free. Every booking starts with a safety briefing and coaching from the venue's trained throwers, who show the group a few different axes before moving on to games and a tournament. The Viking Hour is the standard one-hour package, and the Urban Viking gives groups of seven or more two hosted hours. Hens and bucks packages, a weekday team challenge for workplaces, and options with a drinks hour, shared pizzas or a catered feast round out the list. Very large groups can take over the whole venue on a minimum spend. The bar pours local craft beers, ciders, soft drinks and the house mead once the throwing is done. Throwers must be 11 or older, under-18s need an adult with them, and closed-toe shoes are required on the lanes.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can MANIAX Northbridge host?
The Northbridge venue has six group lanes and five single lanes and can fit groups of up to 120 throwers. Very large groups can also hire the whole venue, with a minimum spend applying.
Is there a minimum age for axe throwing?
Throwers must be at least 11. Anyone aged 11 to 17 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and a responsible adult on site for the whole visit. Younger children can come along to watch.
Is there food at the Northbridge venue?
Northbridge has no kitchen of its own, so food comes through the venue's catering partners as part of the larger group packages, such as shared pizzas or a Viking-style feast. Outside food is not allowed apart from a birthday cake.
Can we drink while we throw?
The venue is licensed, but at Northbridge alcohol is only served once your throwing is over. Guests who arrive under the influence cannot throw, and BYO drinks are not permitted.
What should we wear for axe throwing?
Closed-toe shoes are compulsory on the lanes. Light, loose clothing is suggested in the warmer months, and no special gear is needed because all axes are supplied by the venue.
