About Tugun Tavern
Tugun Tavern is a neighbourhood pub on the corner of Toolona Street and Golden Four Drive in Tugun, on the southern Gold Coast. It runs bars, a restaurant and a bottle shop, and it takes private bookings for groups from about 20 up to 150. Two areas are sold for functions. The Restaurant is the larger, seating up to 100, and the whole room can be set aside when you want your group on its own. The Beer Garden is the outdoor option, holding up to 50 for a cocktail-style gathering. It suits after-work drinks or a birthday catch-up with snacks and a round of cocktails. Catering comes in three styles. Canapé selections of six, nine or twelve items sit alongside platters such as sliders, spiced wings and hot seafood, plus two seated set menus for groups of 10 or more. The kitchen can work with diagnosed allergies, cultural requirements and vegetarian or vegan guests when told two weeks ahead. Your own cake is welcome, with several cakeage choices depending on how much help you want. Guest numbers and menu choices are locked in two weeks out, and payment falls due one week before the date. The venue also keeps a list of preferred suppliers for styling, dance floors, audio visual and photo booths, so send an enquiry to talk through your plans.

The Sportsman's Lunch set menu is $45 per person and the Family Share Affair is $47 per person, both for 10 or more. A Christmas menu is offered at $40 per person for two courses, or $30 per person for mains alone, also for 10 or more.
Labour surcharges of 10% on Sundays and 15% on public holidays apply. Staying past the agreed finish costs $150 per half hour, at the manager's discretion.
Food
The Family Share Affair brings garlic bread, wings, flathead, pizzas, chips and salad down the middle of the table. Confirmed dietary needs are due two weeks before the event, and a surcharge may apply.

Can we have the restaurant to ourselves?
Yes, the entire Restaurant can be booked for a more exclusive event. It works for anything from a casual group meal to a large seated celebration.
What food packages are there?
Canapés run from $35 per person for six items to $65 per person for twelve, with a minimum of 10 people. Platters start at $45 for a 16-slice pizza slab, and set menus cost $45 or $47 per person.
Can I bring my own cake?
Yes. Serving it yourself with the supplied knife, plates and spoons costs nothing, but no storage is included. Cutting and serving on a platter is $1 per person, and individually plated with strawberries and cream is $4 per person.
Can we bring a DJ or band?
The function terms state that music from a band, DJ or jukebox is not permitted. If entertainment matters to your event, raise it in your enquiry before you book.
