About The Glenelg Public House
The Glenelg Public House is a steakhouse and bar on the Gold Coast Highway at Mermaid Beach. It takes its cue from the trades of the 1930s, with dim lighting, leather booths and plenty of dark wood. There are two ways to bring a group here. You can hire the venue for your event and talk through capacity, menus and availability with the team, or make a group booking in the regular service. Groups of eight or more choose a shared menu, and those menus are open to tables of four and up. The Steak Menu is $90 per person, Rib Eye on the Bone is $110 per person and the Tomahawk Menu is $130 per person. Each menu starts with house focaccia and small plates such as sweetcorn arancini or crispy pork belly. The beef arrives next with shared sides like hot chips, farm leaf salad and roast carrots, and the Tomahawk Menu closes with a chef's selection of desserts. The bar puts the same care into premium whiskeys, classic cocktails and its wine list. The team names birthdays, anniversaries, work events and corporate dinners as occasions it hosts, and it replies to enquiries within a day. Lunch runs Friday to Sunday and dinner seven nights.
