About Lakeside Room @ HOTA
The Lakeside Room is one of the hireable spaces at HOTA, Home of the Arts, on Bundall Road in Surfers Paradise. It looks over HOTA Lake and the Green Bridge towards the Gold Coast skyline. The floor is open plan and covers 368 square metres, with a stage framed by an arch eight metres wide. Guests arrive through their own foyer, and a terrace of 182 square metres extends the room outdoors. A removable wall changes the scale of an event. The full room takes 550 for cocktails, 350 at banquet tables, 280 in cabaret style or up to 500 in theatre rows. With the wall in place, half the room takes 250 for cocktails, 150 for a banquet or 120 cabaret, and the terrace alone holds 100 standing. HOTA lists the room as a fit for corporate, cocktail, dinner and social events as well as theatre, music, comedy and cabaret. Conferences, galas and product launches are the work events its venue team talks about. Audio, lighting and on-site technical crew come from the HOTA production team and are charged as extra hire items, so a simple dinner and a staged show can be costed differently. Two dressing rooms support the stage for speakers or performers. Prices are not published, so send an enquiry with your date, guest numbers and whether you need catering. The events team can then prepare a quote.
