About Cowboys Surfers Paradise
Cowboys Surfers Paradise is a country-themed bar at 2/58 Cavill Avenue, open daily from midday. The venue holds more than 400 guests and is decked out in handmade décor and real taxidermy. Its centrepiece is a PBR mechanical bull that runs on the hour every night, at $5 a ride with a signed waiver. Pool tables, shuffleboard and electronic darts are free to play, though they can't be reserved ahead. The building splits into several zones. These include a waterfront deck, a cocktail area, picnic tables, a main dance floor, photo booths and an outdoor smoking tower. Groups of 35 or more can book the Top Bar, an elevated area that stays private until 9:30pm and connects to a covered smokers den. Smaller groups can reserve sections elsewhere, depending on their size. Bookings of more than 20 people pay a $10 per person hire fee, which comes back as a bar tab on arrival. Alternatively, groups of 20 or more can skip the fee by choosing a food function package. Guests may bring balloons, decorations and cakes at no charge, as long as they set up and pack down themselves. Crash-course line dancing may be possible depending on timing, so send an enquiry with your date and numbers.

Can we bring a DJ or a band?
No, outside DJs and live bands aren't permitted, and the venue can't supply microphones or take special music requests. Line dancing lessons may be available depending on timing.
Can we bring a cake and decorations?
Yes, balloons, decorations and cakes are welcome at no extra cost. Your group handles setup and pack down, and staple guns, glue and damaging adhesives aren't allowed.
