About Gold Coast Bowls Club
Gold Coast Bowls Club has been a community hub in Broadbeach Waters since 1966. Its barefoot bowls is an easy social game that anyone can try, with no experience or special gear required. Bowls, mats and a jack are included at $15 a person, and games run seven days a week. The functions team hosts hens and bucks parties, birthdays with a BBQ and a game, office parties and charity events. Groups can reserve a table or book their own area, depending on how private they want the day to feel. Undercover BBQ facilities are available on request, and there is parking on site and nearby. Food is a strong drawcard, thanks to the generous share-style plates and platters from Flavours Brazilian BBQ inside the club. First-timers get basic guidance during barefoot sessions, and socks, bare feet or flat soles are all fine on the green. Bookings of 12 or more may need a deposit, and the club will work with you to reschedule if the weather stops play, so send an enquiry with your date and group size.

Frequently asked questions
How much does barefoot bowls cost at Gold Coast Bowls Club?
It is $15 a person, Monday to Sunday, with bowls, mats and a jack included. Members can also join social bowls at a separate rate, but no membership is needed for a barefoot game.
Does the club host hens and bucks parties?
Yes. Hens and bucks groups are one of the function types the club promotes, along with birthdays, office parties and charity events. You can book a table or reserve your own area.
What can we eat at the club?
Flavours Brazilian BBQ operates inside the club, serving share-style plates that suit bigger groups, and platters can be paired with a barefoot game. Undercover BBQ facilities are also available on request.
What happens if it rains on the day?
If the weather makes play impossible, the club will work with you to reschedule or transfer the booking under its cancellation policy. Ask about this when you send an enquiry.
Can children come along, and what shoes do we need?
Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult. Bare feet, socks and flat soles are all fine on the greens, while heels and hard-soled shoes are not allowed.
