About Benowa Bowls Club
Benowa Bowls Club sits in Sir Bruce Small Park and opens its two greens to anyone keen on a casual game of barefoot bowls. It is a true community club, so the mood is easygoing and nobody needs to have played before. Birthday groups, work socials and bucks and hens parties are all named among the events it hosts. Food is refreshingly simple. Groups can carry in their own snacks or cook on the free BBQs in the outdoor entertaining area, then settle into the large covered beer garden with drinks from the fully licensed bar. Big screens inside show NRL and AFL over the weekend during the football months, and there is free WiFi for anyone who needs it. Online booking covers set times, but the club is happy to look at other slots when a group asks. Friday evenings bring twilight bowls in the warmer months, along with raffles in the clubhouse. Monday is normally a closed day, though the club will consider a private function then if it is viable, so send an enquiry with your numbers and preferred time.
