About Club Broadbeach
Club Broadbeach, home of the Broadbeach Bulls, sits just across the road from the sand on Surf Parade. Its four floodlit championship greens host national events and also open up for casual barefoot bowls. A game costs $10 a player for two hours, with all equipment supplied and a staff member on hand to get you going. Each green takes up to 56 players, and the club suggests teams of four against four on each rink. Sessions start right at the booked time and the green then passes to the next group, so arriving early is worthwhile. Bare feet or flat soles are the rule on the green, while footwear goes back on inside the clubhouse. Food comes from the Matador Bistro team, with hot and cold platters, customisable canapés, a BBQ or a roast carvery, and the last two need at least 20 people. A functions coordinator can organise drinks packages or a bar tab, with wristbands for your guests. Birthdays, office functions and team building are all named among the events it suits, so send an enquiry with your date and numbers to start planning.

Frequently asked questions
How much is barefoot bowls at Club Broadbeach?
It costs $10 a player for two hours on the green, which covers all the equipment and a staff member to get you started. Children aged 9 to 12 play at a reduced $5 rate under the club rules.
How many people can play at once?
Each green fits up to 56 players, and there are four greens at the club. Teams of four against four on each rink are recommended, so larger groups simply spread across more rinks.
What should we wear on the green?
Bare feet or flat-soled shoes and thongs are the only footwear allowed on the green. The club asks everyone to put footwear back on when walking through the clubhouse.
Can children join a barefoot bowls party?
The club's sessions are for ages 9 and over, and under-14s must be supervised at all times. A separate junior bowls set is available on the grassed area out back for younger children.
Can we have food and drinks during the game?
Food and drinks stay off the green, but refreshments are fine in the shaded seating around it. Platters, canapés, BBQ and carvery menus are available, and the BBQ and carvery need a minimum of 20 people.
