About Escape Hunt Gold Coast
Escape Hunt Gold Coast operates from Scarborough Street in Southport, right outside the Woolworths exit of Australia Fair. It has four themed rooms: A Timely Escape, Alice in Puzzleland, The Rising Alchemist and Legend of the Sword. None of them use horror or scary themes. Newcomers are usually pointed towards Alice in Puzzleland or A Timely Escape, while The Rising Alchemist suits those who have played before. Games are ideal for two to six players, and Legend of the Sword takes up to 10. Groups of seven or more can split into two teams and compete. The venue sells packages for birthdays, hens and bucks groups, Christmas parties and corporate team building. It also caters to kids' parties and family outings. The birthday package covers 60 minutes of play, a free game for the birthday player when at least five play, unlimited tea and coffee, a group photo and electronic invites. Groups of 10 or more wanting to stay on for cake, food and drinks can ask about the social event packages. Corporate teams can use a game for a reward or to close a day of meetings. The visit takes about 75 minutes, with a short briefing first and tea and coffee afterwards. Players aged 7 and over are recommended, and each room needs at least one player aged 15 or over.
