About Eclipse Escape
Eclipse Escape sits on Level 1 of the Chevron Renaissance centre in Surfers Paradise. It runs five private experiences: Blackwood Manor, The Moonstone, Puppet Master, Flaming Pearl and Retro Revenge. The rooms are unusually spacious, and together they take up to 54 players. Each room can be tuned to the group. Choose easy, medium or hard difficulty, and decide how frightening it should be, from no scares through to an optional live actor. Puppet Master runs across three connected spaces with a choice of ending, while Flaming Pearl has 12 mechanical puzzles and no manual locks. For birthdays, the group pays the regular rate for a game and can add an extra hour in The Moonstone for $100 for the group, using its 12-seat dining table. Food and decorations are yours to bring. Corporate groups of 15 or more can ask about special rates, flexible scheduling and competition between teams. Christmas parties and other group celebrations are also welcome, and staff can advise on which rooms suit your team. Rooms are generally accessible, except Flaming Pearl, which has stairs. Games last 60 minutes, and a $50 deposit holds a booking. Children under 7 can come along with an adult, and kids-only groups need to arrange their room directly with the venue. Frequently asked questions
How many people can play at Eclipse Escape?
The five experiences can hold up to 54 players at the same time. Individual rooms take between eight and 14 people, though smaller teams may be suggested for the most enjoyable game.
Can we hold a birthday party there?
Yes. Book any room at the regular rate, then add an extra hour in The Moonstone for $100 for the group. It has a 12-seat table, and you bring your own food and decorations.
How much does it cost?
Adults aged 15 and over pay from $54 down to $46 each, depending on how many are playing, with a $108 minimum charge. Children aged 7 to 14 with an adult are $30.
Are the rooms scary?
Only if you want them to be. Scare levels vary by room, and several offer an optional live actor. Retro Revenge has blood, dark spaces and some jump scares, while The Moonstone is not scary.
Where do we park?
Enter the Chevron Renaissance basement car park from Ferny Avenue or Elkhorn Avenue, with two hours free. The venue is also a short stroll from the Cavill Avenue tram station.
