About Cakeable Vanessa
Cakeable Vanessa is the Parkwood cake business of baker Vanessa, who makes celebration cakes to order from her licensed kitchen. Butter cake is her specialty, with a texture close to a light pound cake, and the fillings are generous: homemade curds, quality chocolate for mud cakes, and ganache. The buttercream range comes in extended-height rounds from 5 to 8 inches, which covers small family parties through to groups of around 50. Flavours include vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, lemon, cookies and cream, caramel and red velvet. For weddings and larger events there are two-tier combinations, and couples can arrange a tasting with two weeks' notice. The menu goes well past the main cake. Vintage, number, kids', baby and christening cakes all have their own galleries, alongside macarons, donuts, pavlovas, cookies, dessert pots and customised gift boxes. Macaron towers suit a dessert table or can sit under a wedding cake, and edible images can be printed for a personal design. Cakes are boxed for collection, or delivered for a fee that depends on the distance, with Tamborine Mountain priced separately. Cake stands can also be hired overnight to display the finished piece. The kitchen is not gluten free or nut free, so anyone planning for those allergies should raise it when enquiring. Send an enquiry with your date and guest numbers for a quote.

Regular buttercake cupcakes are $5 each with a minimum of 12, floral cupcakes are $7 and regular mud cake cupcakes are $6. Toppers, flowers and delivery are charged separately.

How many people will a Cakeable Vanessa cake serve?
The 5 inch round serves 12–16 party portions, the 6 inch 18–20, the 7 inch 24–30 and the 8 inch 40–50. Two-tier cakes are measured in finger portions, from 25–30 for the smaller combination.
Can we taste a wedding cake before ordering?
Yes. Wedding cake tasters are available from Vanessa, but she needs two weeks' notice to prepare them, so allow for that when planning your order.
Will the cake be delivered to our venue?
Delivery can be arranged subject to availability on your date. Local delivery costs $20–$50 depending on the distance and Tamborine Mountain is $125. Cakes can also be collected, boxed and ready, from the Parkwood kitchen.
What is not included in the cake price?
Handmade fondant toppers, acrylic or card toppers and floral decorations are quoted on top of the cake. Allow $20 for a card topper, and from $30 each for an acrylic topper or flowers.
Are gluten-free or nut-free cakes available?
All cakes are baked in a kitchen that is neither gluten free nor nut free, so the business cannot promise an allergen-free cake. Raise any allergies when you send your enquiry.
