About Sea Monkey

Step aboard Sea Monkey for a Sydney Harbour experience with a difference. This elegant 43-foot Farrier catamaran blends style and comfort with a fun, tropical feel that sets it apart from the usual charter boat. There's room for up to 34 guests to spread out across the expansive side and foredecks, gather around the 8-seater dining table, or sink into the bean bag chairs and trampolines for some easy socialising in the sun. When it's time to cool off, use the swim ladder and dive platform for a dip in the harbour, rinse off under the outdoor deck shower, or paddle out on one of the complimentary paddleboards. Little ones (or big kids) will love the Lily pad, a floating platform that holds up to four guests at a time. Onboard comforts include a quality Bluetooth and AUX sound system, TV and DVD facilities, hot water showers and two electric toilets. An optional 200w generator can be added for guests wanting to bring their own DJ setup. Whether you're planning a relaxed harbour cruise or a lively celebration, Sea Monkey offers a genuinely different kind of party on the water.

Pricing

Charters aboard Sea Monkey run for a minimum of 4 hours, with hire starting from $550 per hour. Bucks parties are the exception, capped at 3 hours but charged at the full 4-hour rate. If you'd like to pre-load or decorate before your charter, this can be arranged at Mosman Bay or Lavender Bay for a $75 fee, or at Rose Bay for $100, provided it's the first charter of the day.

Food

You can bring your own food on board or leave the catering to the crew, who serve up a hearty barbecue feast using the onboard BBQ facility. There's also a canape and platter menu available, and Sea Monkey offers proper table dining at its 8-seater table. If you go the BYO route, plates and cutlery are provided.

Beverages

Sea Monkey operates on a BYO beverages basis, so bring along your favourite drinks for the day. Disposable cups are supplied, but you'll need to bring your own ice.

Wharfs & Availability

Sea Monkey is available for charter every day, with bookings taken against a real-time calendar, so it's worth checking in for the latest availability. Charters run for 4 hours, ideally starting between 11am and 12pm, though later starts up to 1.30pm may be possible depending on availability. Charters aren't scheduled to finish later than 10pm, and please note the boat doesn't host 21st birthday celebrations.

King Street Wharf in the CBD is the most popular pick-up point, with Lavender Bay, Taronga Zoo, Rose Bay, Double Bay and Mosman Bay also available subject to availability. Pick-up and drop-off aren't possible at The Rocks (Campbells Cove) or Circular Quay (Eastern Pontoon or Commissioners Steps). Manly pick-up is limited to groups of 12 or fewer and attracts a $150 surcharge, and other Sydney Harbour wharves may be arranged subject to availability, with fees possibly applying.
