About Birchgrove

Birchgrove is a 50ft sports yacht built for guests who want comfort and value without missing out on the essentials of a great day on Sydney Harbour. She carries up to 18 people and comes fitted with two indoor toilets, air conditioning and heating so the weather never gets in the way of a good time. There's an onboard BBQ for outdoor cooking, a swim platform for jumping straight into the harbour, and an outdoor warm water shower to rinse off afterwards. Onboard entertainment includes a 22-inch TV and DVD player, and the swim platform doubles as the designated smoking area, keeping the rest of the yacht smoke free. To help keep the interior and decks in top condition, stiletto heels aren't permitted onboard. Please note Birchgrove doesn't take bookings for 18th to 21st birthday parties or bucks celebrations.

Charters on Birchgrove start from $660 per hour with a minimum booking of 4 hours. Pre-loading and decorating are available subject to availability and come at no extra charge.

Food

Birchgrove gives you plenty of flexibility when it comes to food. You're welcome to bring your own food onboard, or choose from a canape or platter menu if you'd rather leave the catering to someone else. There's an onboard BBQ if you feel like grilling up something fresh while you cruise, and the boat is set up for proper table dining too, with plates and cutlery provided for anything you bring yourself.

Beverages

Drinks onboard Birchgrove are BYO only, at $20 per person. That fee covers three bags of ice, bottled water, plus plates, cutlery and glassware, so you can bring your own beverages and have everything else sorted for you.

Wharfs & Availability

Birchgrove is available every day, with a minimum charter length of 4 hours. Preferred time slots run from 12pm to 4pm and 5pm to 9pm, or 1pm to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm, though these can shift depending on availability for your chosen date. It's worth checking the real-time calendar or getting in touch to confirm what's free.

The most popular pickup point is King St Wharf in the CBD, with other regular options including Towns Place Wharf, Casino Wharf, Pirrama Park in Pyrmont, Yeend St Pontoon in Balmain, Rose Bay Pontoon, Mosman Ferry Wharf and Lavender Bay. All wharves are subject to availability, and other locations can be arranged on request, sometimes with an added fee. Spit Bridge and Watsons Bay pickups incur an extra $200 each way, subject to availability, while Manly requires approval and pricing depends on the boat's schedule that day. Birchgrove is unable to travel to Commissioners Steps at Circular Quay, McMahons Point Ferry Wharf, Rushcutters Bay or Woolloomooloo.
