About Bennelong

Step aboard MV Bennelong and you'll immediately notice the care that's gone into her design. Her open-plan interior is finished with Burmese teak panelling and fitted out with comfortable leather lounges, giving the whole vessel a warm, traditional feel that's rare to find on the harbour these days. All-timber construction throughout captures a sense of old-world craftsmanship, while the layout across three distinct spaces means guests can spread out and mingle with ease. The upper deck brings an open-air feel while still offering shelter, so your event isn't left at the mercy of the weather. Below, the undercover lounge area continues the theme of leather seating and teak detailing, giving guests a comfortable spot to relax no matter the conditions outside. MV Bennelong comfortably holds up to 130 guests for a cocktail-style event, or up to 90 for sit-down and formal dining, making her flexible enough for anything from a milestone birthday to a corporate function or wedding. Onboard entertainment includes a TV, a modern sound system with iPod connectivity, so you can bring your own playlist, or arrange a DJ through the crew. Guests can also make use of the complimentary Aqua Lily Pad (just remember to bring towels and sunscreen). A few house rules help keep her looking her best: stiletto heels and chewing gum aren't permitted onboard, and she's a strictly no smoking, no vaping vessel. If you're bringing your own DJ, they'll need to supply their own speakers without stands, as stands can pose a tipping hazard on the water.

Charters aboard MV Bennelong start from $1,125 per hour, with a minimum booking length of 3 hours required for any charter.

Food

MV Bennelong offers plenty of flexibility when it comes to catering. You can choose from a banquet or buffet menu, a canape and platter selection, or opt for formal table dining. If you'd rather organise your own catering, BYO food is also welcome onboard.

Beverages

Drinks can be arranged as a bar tab or on a pay-as-you-go basis to suit your group. Guests are also welcome to bring their own beverages onboard if you'd prefer to organise your own drinks for the event.

Wharfs & Availability

MV Bennelong is available for charter every day of the week, though it's best to check in with the team directly to confirm availability for your preferred date. All charters run for a minimum of 3 hours.

Guests can be picked up from King St Wharf in the CBD, Casino Wharf, or Northwood. Other wharves around Sydney Harbour can also be arranged, though these are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
