About Ferngully Productions
Ferngully Productions is a DJ, lighting and visuals business run from Cooloolabin in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. DJ Liam plays weddings, corporate nights, school formals and milestone birthdays, while Rochelle looks after the planning in the lead-up. The approach is to listen first and build the night around the guests, with music, lighting and screen content mixed live for each room rather than run from a preset. Recent parties have featured music videos on a large screen, custom birthday slides, a disco ball and a dress-up contest judged by applause. For a boat party, Liam brought a compact battery-powered rig with app-controlled lighting and no cables. Ferngully also supports bands and other DJs with lighting and production. For weddings, the reception package pairs an MC and DJ with lighting and live screen visuals, with up to six hours of performance. Entrances, speeches and key moments are planned ahead through the Planning Beats portal, or by any message that suits the couple. Travel across the Sunshine Coast is included, from Noosa down to Caloundra and up into the hinterland. Liam belongs to the DJ Association of Australia as a general member. Frequently asked questions
What does the Ferngully Productions reception package include?
The reception package is $1,240. It combines DJ and MC duties with lighting, live-mixed screen visuals, a pair of QSC speakers and a Pioneer controller, for up to six hours of performance planned around your must-plays and key moments.
Does Liam MC as well as DJ?
Yes. MC work is part of the reception package at no extra cost, so Liam introduces the entrances, keeps the speeches moving and calls the key moments while he plays.
Can the music start at the ceremony and canapés?
Yes. Music during the ceremony is a $240 extra, and a set through pre-dinner canapés costs $190, so one set-up carries the day from the walk down the aisle through to the last song.
What extras can be added to a booking?
Published extras are room uplighting for $190, cold sparks for $240, a photo booth for $290, a phone guest book for $90 and screen control for $90, on top of the main package.
Is travel included for Sunshine Coast venues?
Travel within the Sunshine Coast, including Noosa, Caloundra and the hinterland, is included in the price. A per-kilometre charge applies only once a venue sits outside the free travel zone.
