About Toby Z. Magic
Toby Z. Magic is the work of Toby Z., a Perth-based magician who has performed for more than 17 years and plays over 140 events a year. His speciality is close-up magic: he walks among your guests and performs card tricks, coin magic and mind reading for small groups, so people are part of each routine rather than watching from a distance. At weddings he fills the gaps that often slow a day down, such as pre-dinner drinks, the photo session and the time between courses. Each set is adjusted to the style of the wedding, whether it is a relaxed reception or a formal one. For corporate clients he performs roving magic at networking functions, gala dinners, product launches and end-of-year parties, working with the organiser so the performance fits the schedule. It can sit quietly in the background during networking or be the focus of the night. Kids parties get a different show: fast, visual routines, comedy and plenty of chances for children to join in, with material pitched to their age. It suits home birthday parties as well as larger family celebrations, school events and community days. Toby also presents his own parlour show at the Fringe World festival in Perth, offers magic lessons and coaching, and performs residencies at restaurants and bars. You deal with him directly from the first enquiry through to the event.
