About Flamingo Tours
Flamingo Tours runs private wine, beer and spirits days from Coombabah, taking groups into the hinterland around Tamborine Mountain and the Canungra Valley. The team arranges the venues and transport, so the organiser only needs to send invites and pick a date. The Hens Party tour and the Birthday Wine Tour follow a similar pattern, with tastings at three venues and a lunch. Groups choose three wineries, or two wineries and Mt Tamborine Distillery, and the hens day includes a two-course restaurant meal. For something a little longer, the full-day tour adds a fourth tasting and returns at about 5pm. It is pitched at private, corporate and social groups alike. The Beer, Wine and Spirits Tour swaps variety for a wine tasting, a liqueur tasting and a paddle of boutique beers, with lunch either two courses or woodfired pizza and sides. Groups who like the water can look at Sip the Breeze, which sails a catamaran around the Sovereign Islands with a glass of bubbles and platters. Some versions pair the sail with wine tasting or a two-course meal at a local restaurant. Vehicles seat 8, 13 or 23 people, and coaches can be arranged for larger parties. Frequently asked questions
What group sizes does Flamingo Tours take?
Its vehicles seat 8, 13 or 23 people, and larger vehicles and coaches are available on request. Private tours can be arranged for as few as 2 guests, while the hens rate applies to 8 or more and the beer, wine and spirits tour needs at least 4.
What is included on the hens party tour?
The hens tour includes tastings at 3 venues, either three wineries or two wineries and a distillery, along with a two-course restaurant lunch. Cheese platters can be pre-ordered when you book, and special dietary needs are catered for.
How long does a tour usually run?
Pick-up times depend on where you are collected. The hens and beer, wine and spirits tours start at around 9am and finish at about 3 to 4pm, while the full-day wine tour aims to reach its first venue at 10am and returns at about 5pm.
Can non-drinkers come along on the tour?
Yes, non-drinking guests are welcome on the hens party tour at a reduced price. Mention them when you send your enquiry, so the group's final numbers and costs are worked out correctly before the balance falls due.
How does the deposit and final payment work?
A deposit equal to the cost of 2 guests secures the booking on the hens tour. The remaining balance and final guest numbers are due 2 weeks before the tour date, and some pick-up areas can carry a surcharge.
