About Save The Date Films
Save The Date Films makes wedding videos from its base in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. The goal is a true record of how the day felt, with room for the laughing and crying that come with it, so the film is something you will want to watch again long after the day. The first package is the entry point. A single cinematographer works through the full day with three cameras, a gimbal and a drone, then delivers a highlight reel of four to five minutes and raw edits of the ceremony and speeches. The second package brings in a second cinematographer and stretches the highlight reel to six or seven minutes, with a one-minute cut for Instagram. A third option covers destination weddings held across several days, with a longer reel of eight to ten minutes. Drone footage is a complimentary extra, flown when weather and local rules allow, and you will not be charged if it stays on the ground. Upgrades include 4K delivery, extra cinematographers, a next-day social edit, priority editing and a 15-minute feature film edit. Couples receive their videos online, generally within six to eight weeks. A $1,000 deposit locks in the date because dates are not held without one, and the balance is due two weeks before the wedding. Public liability insurance is in place for venues that ask for it. Send an enquiry to receive the full price and information guide, and to arrange a coffee or video chat.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Save The Date Films charge?
Packages start from $4,400. A full price guide is sent when you enquire, so you can compare the one- and two-cinematographer options and any upgrades.
Is drone footage included in the price?
Yes, drone footage is a complimentary inclusion and is not charged as an extra, because local rules or the weather can sometimes stop it from being flown.
When will we get our wedding video?
The usual turnaround is six to eight weeks, delivered online. Priority editing and a next-day social edit are available as upgrades if you would like footage sooner.
How do we secure our wedding date?
A $1,000 deposit locks in the date, as dates are not held without one. Final payment is due two weeks before the wedding, and date changes transfer free if the team is available.
Is there a travel charge for Gold Coast weddings?
Travel is only added beyond 100km from Burleigh Heads, at $100 for every extra 50km, so Gold Coast weddings fall inside the included area.
