About Pethers Rainforest Retreat
Pethers Rainforest Retreat sits on five hectares of private subtropical rainforest on Geissmann Street, Tamborine Mountain. It hosts weddings, conferences and private events, and the entire property can be reserved for one group. Receptions take place in The Lodge, a high-ceilinged timber room with a large fire and full-height glass looking into the trees. It suits either a seated meal or a cocktail format. Couples can marry in the Wedding Garden, on the raised Rainforest Deck or in the Avocado Orchard. Wet weather set-up comes with the packages at no extra charge. The bigger packages take 30 to 100 guests, depending on whether the meal is seated or standing. Exclusive use runs from 3pm to 11pm, with an event coordinator looking after the day. The executive chef's options include canapés, two or three plated courses and a tasting menu. Drinks can run through a package, a bar tab or a cash bar, depending on the option you choose. Groups also come here for conferences and team get-togethers, and the villas and Pethers House let guests stay on site. Send an enquiry to talk through your event.

How many guests can Pethers host?
Published wedding packages range from couples-only ceremonies to 100 guests at a standing event. Seated packages cover up to 80 or 90.
Can we have the whole retreat to ourselves?
Yes. Larger wedding packages include exclusive use from 3pm to 11pm, and you can ask about exclusive use for other events.
Where are ceremonies held?
There are three settings: the Wedding Garden, the Rainforest Deck and the Avocado Orchard. Wet weather styling and set-up is included.
How do drinks work?
Depending on the package, drinks are included for 3 or 4 hours, or you can choose a cash bar, bar tab or drinks package.
Does Pethers host corporate events?
Yes. The retreat takes conferences and team get-togethers as well as private events, and groups can stay and dine on site.
