About Hope Island Tavern
Hope Island Tavern is a local pub on Broadwater Avenue with a large beer garden, a bistro and a sports bar. There is parking on site and wheelchair access, which makes life easier for a mixed group. Four areas can be set aside for a function, all on a semi-private, non-exclusive basis. The Western Beer Garden is the bigger of the two gardens, taking 80 standing or 60 seated under umbrellas and a pergola, and it suits a cocktail-style afternoon. The Eastern Beer Garden is a smaller version at 60 standing or 40 seated, with greenery around it. The Bistro Deck matches those numbers and has a roof overhead, so it copes with any weather. For a sit-down meal or a presentation, the indoor Bistro takes 80 standing or 60 seated. It stays close to the main dining room and keeps the group together at the table. Food is ordered as share platters that each feed eight to ten people. Options include skewers, sliders, seafood, antipasto, pizza and a tray of 20 gelato scoops, and the kitchen can cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free guests. Drinks sit in three package tiers lasting two, three or four hours, with a minimum of 20 guests. The regular menu has wood-fired pizza and fresh seafood. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free needs can be met, and the team asks to hear about any other dietaries ahead of time.

Standard is $53 per person for two hours, $68 for three and $81 for four. Premium runs $65, $78 and $93, and Deluxe $76, $90 and $104, all per person with a 20-guest minimum.
Can we bring a cake and decorations?
Yes to both. Cakes are free to bring unless you want them plated with cream, and decorations are fine as long as they aren't messy and don't bother other patrons.
Can under-18s or dogs come along?
Minors are welcome with a parent or legal guardian and must leave by 10pm. Dogs can stay in the beer garden and at the outside tables by the restaurant entrance.

Visited Saturday lunch time. Playground to keep the kids busy. There was also kids entertainment from 1PM. Meals were yummy and served really quickly. Staff very friendly.
