About Boardwalk Tavern
Boardwalk Tavern is a waterfront pub and restaurant on Santa Barbara Road at Hope Island, with open-sided decks looking across the marina. It trades as a public tavern, so a function here feels like part of a working venue rather than a closed room. Three areas take functions. The Main Bar Deck and the Main Bar each suit 20 to 30 guests as a roped-off section with reserved tables, and larger numbers can be discussed with the venue. For full privacy, the Sports Bar can be booked on its own, with a higher minimum spend than the deck. The Restaurant also welcomes seated groups ordering from a shorter group menu. Function food runs from canapé selections to two and three course set menus, along with share platters such as seafood, mezze, pizza and nachos. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices are marked through the menu, though the kitchen does handle nuts, gluten, dairy and seafood. Drinks are organised as a bar tab, and you tick which categories to include: tap beer, stubbies, cider, house wine, standard spirits, soft drink and coffee. At least half of the minimum spend on the deck and in the main bar has to go on food. Standard function times are 11.30am to 4pm or 6pm to 10.30pm, and other times can be requested. Outdoor bookings may move inside if the weather turns, audio equipment cannot be used on the decks, and anyone under 18 must leave by 9.30pm.

The Sports Bar has a $1,500 minimum spend. Set menus cost $55 per person for two courses or $70 per person for three, with a minimum of 20 guests. Canapés cost $20 per person for four selections, rising to $30 per person for eight, with a minimum of 10 guests.
