About Birdcage Dining Room & Garden Bar
Birdcage Dining Room & Garden Bar is a restaurant on Tedder Avenue in Main Beach, open for lunch and dinner. The cooking draws on flavours from around the world, served alongside a long cocktail list. The room has a dramatic look, with velvet curtains, painted wall panels, gold screens and birdcage pendant lights. Dining spreads across indoor and outdoor tables, with high tables and lounge seating as well. The venue holds up to 100 standing or 80 seated. Smaller gatherings take a section of the room, and larger groups can ask about exclusive use, which runs for longer than a standard booking. Group menus are shared banquets at three levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum. They range from dumplings, karaage and bao to carpaccio and slow-cooked lamb shoulder, and a vegetarian banquet is also available. Drinks packages run for two or three hours, and each covers soft drinks and juices along with wine and beer. Cocktail and spirit add-ons are available, along with a welcome cocktail or French Champagne on arrival. A professional events team looks after birthdays, milestone celebrations, Christmas parties and corporate events. Pricing
A deposit of $1,000 or 10% of the total, whichever is greater, confirms a booking. Weekend bookings carry a 10% surcharge, and public holidays carry 15%.

How long does a function run?
Bookings of up to 20 guests run for 2.5 hours, and bookings of more than 30 run for 3.5 hours. Exclusive hire events run for 4.5 hours.
