Birthday Party Venues in Runaway Bay

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

The two Runaway Bay choices suit quite different birthdays. Runaway Bay Junior Leagues Club offers a calmer room looking over its home ground, while the pick for a busy party with big screens is Sports Bar @ Runaway Bay Tavern.

Deciding between club and tavern:

The leagues club room has floor-to-ceiling glass facing the ground, and it looks good in daylight or after dark.
Up to 170 guests fit in the Sports Bar for a casual function, the tavern's one fully private space.
Sit-down dining is possible at Runaway Bay Junior Leagues Club, with a set menu if everyone will be seated.
Share platters of 30 pieces are the tavern's food format, each serving 8 to 10 people.
Drinks at the tavern are From $48 per person on a package, or you can use a bar tab or a cash bar.

Packages are not fixed here: your headcount and budget set the shape.
Platters or canapés suit a casual party, and a buffet is a good answer for a bigger crowd.
A DJ or a jukebox can be added for the music.
On set days a courtesy bus runs hourly at no charge for members and guests, and parking on site is easy.

Cakes carry no cakeage fee, and decorations are welcome if fixed with Blu-Tack or similar.
The covered patio next door needs its own booking for up to 200, and other guests may pass through on their way to smoke.
Ask whether your party needs security, as the venue arranges it when required.
Vegan, vegetarian, low gluten and low dairy dishes are marked, so a mixed group can order with confidence.

Runaway Bay Junior Leagues Club offers set menus for seated guests. The tavern's Sports Bar is pitched at casual functions with share platters.

Sporting club celebrations, birthdays and game-day groups are all mentioned. Ask about any age rules for your group when you enquire.

Function bookings go through reception. Give them your date and headcount, and a package gets built around your budget.

You can bring one in without a cakeage fee. Decorations are fine too, as long as they are fixed with Blu-Tack or something similar.
