About DJ Ashu
DJ Ashu is a Gold Coast party and wedding DJ whose speciality is music for South Asian celebrations. His sets draw on Bollywood, R&B, urban Punjabi, Hariyanvi, Nepali and Tamil tracks, mixed without a break to keep the energy up on the dance floor. His event list reflects that background. It takes in Lohri, Holi and Diwali gatherings, 21st birthdays, engagements, weaning ceremonies in the Nepali community, wedding anniversaries, fundraisers and club nights, along with corporate functions that call for a DJ, sound and lighting. Each job is treated on its own terms, with the music and package fitted to the client's taste and budget. There are three standard packages. Classic includes the DJ, two powered speakers, a wireless microphone, gig bar lights and a DJ booth, while Gold adds a powered subwoofer, two moving head lights and four uplights. Iconic steps up to two subwoofers, two wireless microphones, two moving heads and six uplights, which suits a bigger room or a function with speeches. Extras can be requested with the booking, including cold sparks, more moving heads, smoke machines, more uplights, a CO2 jet and a 360 booth. To check a date, send an enquiry with your event type, address and timing, and mention the music you would most like to hear on the night.
