About Six-Tricks Distilling Co.
Six-Tricks Distilling Co. is a production distillery in Mermaid Beach with its own tasting room attached. Groups come to make something, taste something and see how it is done, all under one roof. The private cocktail masterclass is the main draw for teams. It runs for two hours, with a mixologist guiding everyone through two cocktails built from house spirits, and all ingredients, glassware and take-home recipes are covered. It suits groups of 6 to 25. For something more relaxed, the tour and tasting takes a group through the production floor and finishes with three spirits in the glass. Allow 90 minutes, with room for 6 to 30 guests. The still house runs a 2,500 litre hybrid copper pot and column still, along with smaller stills for experimental batches. The venue has several distinct spaces to settle into afterwards: a copper-clad main bar, the Sunset Deck, a beer garden and the private Founders Lounge. The kitchen sends out charcuterie, pizzas and small plates, and live music plays on weekends. Groups of 20 or more can arrange a dedicated booking with a bar tab, a set drinks package or service as you order, plus grazing tables and canapés on request. Bookings above 50 guests have the place to themselves. Send an enquiry with your numbers and preferred date, as the end-of-year and end-of-financial-year periods are busy for corporate groups.
