About The Spanish Catering Co
The Spanish Catering Co turns a meal into part of the entertainment. Head chef and owner Pepe Garcia comes from a family of farmers and cooks in northern Spain, and his team cooks on site, so guests can watch the paella come together in its giant pans. They bring all their own gear, which means no kitchen is needed at your location. The menu runs from chicken and chorizo, seafood, vegan and Valenciana paellas to a long list of tapas: croquetas, patatas bravas, Spanish omelette, skewers, jamon on toasted sourdough and braised octopus. A grazing board of Iberico ham, Manchego and seasonal fruit is another option, and whole slow-cooked lamb or suckling pig comes with rustic potatoes and salad. Churros with warmed chocolate, flan and tres leches cover dessert. Weddings are a big part of the work. Cocktail-style receptions are served by wait staff in bamboo boats with wooden cutlery, so no crockery is required, while seated receptions usually start with tapas, followed by a plated main and dessert. Bartenders can be added, and the staff hold RSA certificates. There are no pre-built packages. Each event gets its own menu built around your taste and budget. Birthdays, engagement parties, company anniversaries and end-of-year work parties are all on the books.

Frequently asked questions
Does the team cook at the event?
Yes, cooking happens on site to keep everything fresh. The team brings its own equipment, so you do not need a kitchen and they can set up in most spots.
Are there set wedding packages?
No. Each wedding gets a custom menu built around your taste and budget, and the team guides couples towards the right mix of tapas, paella and dessert.
Can they do a seated meal as well as cocktail-style food?
Both work. Cocktail service uses bamboo boats and wooden cutlery with no crockery, while seated meals can use your crockery or theirs for an added fee.
Is there a minimum spend?
Events need a minimum food spend of $880 for a group of 20, and on-site chef and staff are charged on top. Smaller groups can enquire about other options.
Are vegan or gluten-free dishes available?
There is a vegan paella at the same price as chicken and chorizo, and the tapas menu marks vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes, including several skewers, the potato omelette and the bravas.
