Birthday Party Venues in Broadbeach

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

A Broadbeach birthday comes down to one choice here: a surf club function room hired outright, or a corner of a pub held against a minimum spend. Kurrawa Surf Club Beachfront Functions sits upstairs with its own bar and balcony, while Broadbeach Tavern offers three separate areas at the Oasis Shopping Centre.

Weigh up these differences between the two birthday options:

Kurrawa Surf Club Beachfront Functions charges From $715 room hire, and its Level 2 room takes 120 for cocktails or 84 for a banquet.
Broadbeach Tavern works on a minimum spend, From $750 minimum spend, across a 25-guest lounge, a deck and a terrace.
Sit-down birthdays lean towards the surf club, since the tavern's areas are all quoted as standing numbers.
Allow five hours in the Kurrawa room, against a four-hour block for each tavern area.
Food at both is arranged with the venue: platters, grazing tables or buffets at the club, and hot or cold share platters at the pub.

Smaller milestone parties may find the Mood Lounge at Broadbeach Tavern easier to fill than a room built for 120.

A party of 25 standing suits the curved Mood Lounge at the tavern, with no need to take a bigger space.
Fifty to 70 people can use The Deck, which has some lounge seating but closes at 10pm each day.
Half of The Terrace holds 40 standing and the full terrace holds 80, with direct access to the bar.
At Kurrawa, a banquet with a dance floor seats 70, or 80 if you set the room up cabaret style.

Longer hire at the tavern can cost extra, so raise it early if the party needs more than four hours.
