About G&M Event Group
G&M Event Group supplies DJs and MCs to events across Brisbane, and it runs the lighting, effects and production side as well. That means one crew can look after the music, the microphone and the look of the room, rather than three suppliers working separately. Wedding couples can book a DJ, an MC or both. A ceremony package adds a DJ with a compact sound system to manage the music and its timing, indoors or outdoors, and couples use an online portal to plan their songs and run sheet. The team also has dedicated packages for party DJ hire, 18th and 21st birthdays, corporate functions, school formals and high school dances. Past work on its blog includes a Brisbane State High formal at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and a white-themed New Year's Eve cocktail party at Victoria Park. The add-ons are where a room really changes. In-house lighting designers can bring uplighting, mood towers, moving heads and party lighting, along with a Starlight Dance Floor, Sparkular indoor fireworks, Dancing on a Cloud low fog and CO2 guns. For corporate clients, the AV side covers vision, audio, recording, staging and crew, along with TV screen hire. At The Lussh, for example, the team paired its light-up floor with screens and lighting across the whole space for an event. What happens if we want the DJ to play past the finish time?
Under its booking terms, extra time past the agreed closing time costs a minimum of $200 per hour or part thereof, paid before the extended time begins.
