About Dream Connective Entertainment
Dream Connective Entertainment is Yannik, a Brisbane-based DJ who also works as an MC and produces his own music. He has been DJing and producing electronic and house music for more than a decade, and he approaches a wedding as one long set with a beginning, a build, a peak and a wind-down. Every booking starts with your music. After a quote, couples fill in a music questionnaire, then go through it with Yannik on a planning call. He builds a set list for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, contacts the venue to understand the space and works out the timeline with you or your planner. There are three wedding packages. Four hours from $1,300 suits a ceremony through to cocktails or a shorter reception, six hours from $1,800 covers cocktails and reception, and the all-day package from $2,500 runs from the ceremony to the final dance. Each includes an Electro-Voice PA, a wireless microphone, dance-floor lighting, set-up and pack-down, back-up gear and public liability insurance. Yannik also plays corporate functions, including end-of-year parties, gala dinners, product launches, conferences and brand activations, along with birthdays and milestone parties. Optional extras include MC duties, a live singer, saxophonist or violinist, a photo booth, cloud effects, a bigger PA and extra lighting. Send an enquiry through Party Hero to check your date.

Can Yannik also be our MC?
Yes. MC duties are available as an add-on, so the same person handles the announcements and the music. His style is relaxed and natural rather than loud and over the top.
What music does he play?
Sets lean on disco, house, nineties R&B and Afro-beats, with a little country if it suits the crowd. Your must-play and do-not-play lists are set beforehand and the rest is chosen live by watching the room.
How large an event can the sound system handle?
The Electro-Voice system covers anything from a 30-person ceremony to a reception of around 200 guests. A PA upgrade is available as an add-on for bigger venues.
