About Club Mooloolaba
Club Mooloolaba is a community bowls club on the corner of Kapala Street in Mooloolaba, a short way back from the beach and home of the Mooloolaba Snappers. It has two undercover carpet greens, which you can watch through the bar's floor-to-ceiling glass, plus a sunny outdoor green running alongside the umbrella-shaded beer garden. Barefoot bowls is played on that front green, and nobody in the group needs to have bowled before. Equipment is supplied, smaller bowls are kept on hand for children, and players can go barefoot or wear thongs or flat-soled shoes. For bigger groups, Party Bowls moves the game onto the covered greens with an experienced instructor guiding play, so the booking can go ahead in any weather. The club pitches its bowls for birthdays, hens and bucks groups, corporate team building and work Christmas parties, and a private rink at the far end of the outdoor green suits groups of 25 or more. Meals can be ordered from the bistro during play, or the functions team can line up grazing platters and catering packages ahead of the day. Function rooms and decks overlooking the greens are available too, so send an enquiry to book.

Frequently asked questions
How much does barefoot bowls cost at Club Mooloolaba?
Barefoot bowls on the outdoor green is $15 a person for an hour. Party Bowls on the undercover greens is $20 a person for 90 minutes, with a minimum of 20 players.
Do we need any bowls experience?
No. Bowls are supplied and the game is easy to pick up, and Party Bowls sessions come with guidance from an experienced bowls instructor using the club's own equipment.
What should we wear on the greens?
Casual clothes are fine and themed outfits are welcome. On the outdoor green you can bowl barefoot or in thongs or flat-soled shoes; on the indoor carpet greens thongs or flat shoes are required, with no bare feet.
Can kids play barefoot bowls?
Yes. Children can bowl on the outdoor green with smaller bowls, supervised by a parent or guardian. Under 10s cannot use the indoor carpet greens, and older children still need an adult with them there.
What happens if it rains on our barefoot bowls booking?
Barefoot bowls is played outside, so in wet weather the club reschedules it to another available time rather than moving it indoors. Party Bowls is played under cover and runs in any weather.

Staff (Xander and crew) were fantastic to deal with. Was a very busy night with a few parties, but they managed it brilliantly. They were always efficient and great looking after us.

Outdoor bowls is a rip off. $75 for one hour, green is in appalling condition, service is ‘disinterested’ at best. Don’t waste your money. Absolutely won’t be recommending or returning.

If could give 0 stars, I would. Booked barefoot bowls because of an awesome experience a few years ago. Charged $60 for the worst bowling green I have ever seen. Should be free. Very disappointing.
