Birthday Party Venues in Carnegie

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Dandenong Road gives Carnegie two very different kinds of birthday night. The Function Room @ Rosstown Hotel is a closed-off first-floor room above the pub's bistro, while Princes Pool, Bar & Karaoke at 1032 Dandenong Road has nine soundproofed karaoke rooms off a bar with pool tables.

One suits a sit-down dinner or a cocktail party with speeches; the other suits a group who would rather sing.

Which Carnegie option fits the birthday:

A 40th with dinner: the Rosstown room seats 100, with plated two or three course menus served alternate drop.
A cocktail party: up to 150 standing at the Rosstown, with canapé packages from $35 per person.
Friends who love to sing: the Premium XL room at Princes takes 12 to 20, and the VIP room eight to 14.
A small group: the mini karaoke room fits two to six people.
Games between songs: pool tables and a long bar fill the main floor at Princes.

Karaoke room packages start from $198 room hire, and on Friday to Sunday evenings the six-hour package price comes back as credit for food and drinks.

The room has a dance floor, a microphone, in-house audio, and a projector and TV for a slideshow.
Outside food and drinks aren't allowed, apart from a birthday cake.
Access is by stairs only, as the hotel has no lift, which matters for less mobile guests.
A tentative booking is held for seven days before a deposit confirms it.
