About In Love Weddings
In Love Weddings is a wedding photography and videography team based on Tamborine Mountain, above the Gold Coast. Lead videographer and photographer Björn Schmal has more than ten years in the industry and takes time to get to know couples before the wedding, so the coverage can be shaped around them. The style is relaxed and unscripted. Rather than running the day from behind a camera, the team looks for genuine reactions, laughter and quiet moments, which tends to put people at ease in front of the lens. Coverage is flexible. Bookings start at two hours, enough for the vows and some portraits, and stretch to ten hours from the morning preparations through to the reception formalities. Pick stills, film or the two together, in which case a photographer and a videographer both attend. The team knows Gold Coast settings well, from beach ceremonies between Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta to David Fleay Wildlife Park, Austinvilla Estate, the Currumbin Valley and Q1 SkyPoint in Surfers Paradise. Up on the mountain it has filmed many weddings at St Bernards Hotel. Add-ons cover aerial drone shots, an extra shooter and a two-day sneak peek. How much does In Love Weddings charge?
A two-hour booking of either photos or video starts at $1,300. With both, prices go from $2,500 for two hours up to $6,500 for ten, and smaller weekday weddings have their own packages.
What comes with a combined photo and video package?
Both a photographer and a videographer attend, and you receive edited images, a highlights edit and a full-length film of the ceremony. Depending on hours, that means 150+ to 450+ images and a highlight film of 4–5 up to 15–20 minutes, and six hours or more adds reception speeches.
How many hours of coverage should we book?
A two-hour booking fits a ceremony with portraits, while six hours reaches further into the celebration. Eight or ten hours also picks up the morning preparations and reception formalities. Share your timeline when you enquire and the team will help you decide.
How long until we receive our wedding photos and film?
The aim is delivery within a few weeks, though in the busy season it can take up to three months for everything to arrive. A two-day sneak peek and faster editing can be added if you would like images sooner.
Can we choose the music for our wedding film?
Bring your song ideas and any wedding films whose mood you enjoy. Soundtracks are licensed, which means a chart song might need its own permission or might be ruled out, and the team will talk through alternatives.
