About Capture That Photography
Capture That Photography is the business of Melissa, a Gold Coast photographer working from a purpose-built studio in Highland Park. Weddings are the event side of her work, and she takes on anything from a small elopement or barefoot ceremony on the beach to a large, lively celebration. Her style is informal. She avoids stiff posing and awkward set-ups, preferring the spontaneous frames that happen when people forget she is there: the tears, the cheers and the dance floor once the night gets going. The traditional shots still get done. Family group photos and a few big print-worthy portraits are part of the plan, but they are kept brief so that couples can return to their guests rather than spending the day on a shoot. She is even happy to bring an esky along to the portrait session. Wedding collections start from $1,600, with package inclusions set out when you enquire. Outside weddings, the studio also handles family, maternity and newborn sessions, so couples who enjoy working with Melissa can come back for later milestones.
