About Skirmish Gold Coast
Skirmish Gold Coast is an outdoor paintball field at Mudgeeraba, set on the John Rogers Road site of the Gold Coast War Museum. Groups come here to run around in the open, split into teams and settle a few scores. Games go ahead seven days a week, whatever the weather is doing. The package takes care of the equipment. Every player gets a semi-automatic paintball gun, a full face mask, camouflage coveralls and 100 paintballs, and more paintballs can be added on the day. Vests and belts for carrying extra rounds are available too, free of charge once you buy enough extra paintballs. Bucks and hens groups are a big part of the crowd. The guest of honour is encouraged to dress up, as long as the torso stays covered, so skip the bikini and aim for something louder. Nobody may drink before playing, so save the toasts for the end of the game. Birthdays are well catered for afterwards, with undercover picnic tables in a military-style area where you can lay out your own spread or have pizza delivered. There is no barbecue on site, although a regional park with public barbecues sits a little way down the road. Work teams of about 10 through to more than 50 can book too. The appeal for a company is the mix of strategy, communication and leadership, and you can play as hard or as gently as you like. Staff supervise each game, and the facility is registered and insured. Players must be 15 or older with photo ID, and you can send an enquiry to plan your group's day.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Skirmish Gold Coast package include?
Each player receives a semi-automatic paintball gun, a full face mask, camouflage coveralls and 100 paintballs. Extra paintballs cost $20 for each additional 100.
How old do you need to be to play?
Players must be at least 15 years old, and photo ID is required. Send an enquiry if you are unsure what to bring for younger players in your group.
Can the bucks or hens guest of honour wear a costume?
Yes, costumes are encouraged. The one rule is that the torso must be covered, so bikinis and mankinis are out, while a dress with fishnets or a bright bodysuit is fine.
Can we eat and drink at the field after the game?
Yes. The military-style picnic area has undercover tables for your own food or delivered pizza, and cold drinks are sold on site. There is no barbecue, and drinking alcohol before playing is prohibited.
Does the game go ahead if it rains?
Yes. Games run seven days a week in rain, hail or shine, so plan for the weather and bring a change of clothes if your group wants one for the trip home.

I thought it was ok. We had planned to play against our own work colleagues, but it didn’t turn out that way as we had to play against others which made it a big group. Our masks kept on fogging up, which made it very ha…

We went on a Saturday for a teenagers birthday party. We booked in advance and confirmed our booking. We arrived on time but there were no car parks left. We had to park down the bottom of the hill and then walk up it. O…
