About Gold Coast Barrel King
Gold Coast Barrel King is a family business that hires out genuine French oak wine barrels and the furniture that goes with them. The barrels come from Australian wineries and keep their natural colouring, markings and a trace of the wine they once held, so no two look quite alike. Most hirers start with a package. The simplest pairs one barrel with four black stools, and from there the range steps up to a barrel with an umbrella and four stools, a bar table set with four stools, and a rustic table with six stools. Single barrels and stools can be added, and white barrels with gold rings suit a lighter wedding palette. Half barrels work well as drink coolers packed with ice. The set-ups are built for standing around and talking, which makes them a natural fit for garden ceremonies, engagement drinks, birthdays and company functions. Several packages together can fill a lawn or a poolside terrace and create a relaxed outdoor bar area. The standard hire period is three days. Delivery anywhere on the Gold Coast is charged per trip and includes setting the items out, or you can arrange to collect by appointment. Hires are confirmed by enquiry so stock can be checked against your date.

What comes in the entry-level barrel package?
The Wine Barrel & Stool Package gives you one authentic oak barrel with four black bar stools for $75, and you can hire as many sets as your event needs.
How long do we keep the barrels?
Unless something different is agreed at booking, every hire item is yours for three days, which leaves time to set up before the event and pack away after it.
What does delivery cost?
Delivery within the Gold Coast is $60 for drop-off and another $60 for pick-up, and the hire page says that fee includes setting the items up for you.
Can we collect the barrels ourselves?
Yes, pick-up is available by appointment only. The collection details are shared once your enquiry has been confirmed, so send an enquiry with your date first.
Why can't hire items be added to a cart online?
Hire runs on enquiry so that dates are not double booked. Share your event date, suburb and the items you want, and availability is confirmed in writing before anything is locked in.
