About Energy Entertainments
Energy Entertainments is a fire and circus troupe based in Currumbin, led by director Neal, who has more than 20 years of performing and teaching behind him. Clients book the team to give a corporate function, wedding reception or birthday a centrepiece that guests stop and watch. The core of the program is choreographed fire, and Energy in Motion is a solo piece mixing dance, martial arts and special effects. Martial Fire is a duo built on flaming sword battles and fire fists, and the trio show pulls effects from across the repertoire. Fusion in Flames adds partner lifts and themes such as 1920s glamour, Spanish, Latin or tribal with live drummers. Shows can be tailored to your theme and music. Beyond the stage show, the team supplies roving fire characters, themed stilt walkers, aerial silk and lyra acts, whip-crackers, acrobats, break-dancers and samba performers. For a statement moment there are custom fire signs with names or a logo, giant flaming hearts, fire pit sculptures and a finale of sparks. Weddings often finish with the couple silhouetted against those sparks, with the performers and your photographer working together on the timing. Companies can add team building sessions covering juggling, baton puzzles, tai chi and fire skills, for groups of 3 to 100. Children's parties and school events get their own shows, including a ninja-themed fire show that opens with a fire safety talk. The team handles risk assessments and venue liaison, and every performer carries public liability cover. Send an enquiry with your date and venue for a quote.

Frequently asked questions
Can a fire show go ahead indoors?
Yes, provided the ceiling is at least 3 metres high and the space around the performers is clear of anything combustible for 3 metres. The team carries a fire extinguisher, and a glow light show is the alternative for venues that rule out flame.
What happens if there is a total fire ban on the day?
A show may still be possible because the equipment does not throw embers the way an open fire does. The risks are assessed for your event first, and a glow light show is available if flame is not suitable.
Is music included with the performance?
The performers supply a playlist from their laptop and plug into your venue's PA with an auxiliary cable. Tell them when booking if you would like your own music or live musicians, and ask for a PA if the venue has none.
Is travel included in the quote?
Travel is covered within 100 kilometres of the Currumbin base, which takes in the Gold Coast. Anything beyond that radius is charged as travel, plus accommodation if an overnight stay is needed.
Do they run team building workshops for small companies?
Yes. Workshops suit groups from 3 people up to 100 and can run at your workplace if there is a hall, boardroom or similar room with space to move. A venue can also be supplied at an additional cost.
