School Formal Venues in Central Gold Coast

Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

Year group size will probably settle this one. Robina's Anna Rose Room @ Robina Events Centre handles a banquet for 200, while Lakelands Golf Club in Merrimac suits a smaller cohort, with 110 seated in its Augusta Room.

Robina and Merrimac compared for a formal committee:

Seated numbers: 200 banquet or 180 cabaret in Robina, against 110 banquet or 88 cabaret in Merrimac.
Setting: a Level 4 campus function room in Robina, or a golf clubhouse overlooking gardens and a lake in Merrimac.
Theming: Robina's ceiling lights can match your colours, and Lakelands lets you bring a stylist or decorate the room yourself.
Photos: a foyer with coloured projections in Robina, or the gardens and balcony in Merrimac.
Arrivals: undercover parking onsite in Robina, which matters for a stream of parents dropping off.

Speeches and slideshows in Robina can use the room's microphones, projectors and screen.
Lakelands provides in-house catering, with menus and pricing given on enquiry.
Neither venue lists a dance floor, so ask how each would set one up.
Tours of the Lakelands rooms can be arranged before the committee decides.

In Robina, the Anna Rose Room takes that number in cabaret style, or 200 banquet. At Lakelands, the Augusta Room tops out at 110 seated.

Lakelands Golf Club's Augusta Room seats 110 at a banquet, and the Nicklaus Room suits 40.

Robina Events Centre can set coloured ceiling lights to your palette. Lakelands lets you bring a recommended stylist or decorate yourself.

Lakelands does not publish menus or pricing, and the published Robina figure is for wedding packages, so ask both for a school formal quote.
