How to Choose Virtual Reality

Southport is where the Broadwater area goes for virtual reality, at Zero Latency Gold Coast on Smith Street. Three formats sit under one roof, so the real choice is between a high-energy arena game and something quieter in a private room. Sessions are from $39 per person.

Fit a format to the people in your group:

  • Teenagers and adults after action: free-roam arena games for up to eight.
  • Puzzle fans who'd skip the shooting: VR escape rooms, with 11 to choose from.
  • Families with mixed ages: Hero Zone VR's four shorter adventures.
  • Work teams: a day of back-to-back games, with catering organised by the coordinator.
  • Bucks and hens: party packages can add simulators or axe throwing on site.

A VR trip for different Broadwater parties

  • A birthday group needs each player aged 11 or older, so check before inviting younger siblings.
  • A team outing of 60 fills the room in rotations, so ask how wait times are handled.
  • A hens or bucks group should note players can't be under the influence, so plan the bar for afterwards.
  • A smaller group of up to five can have a private space with an escape room or Hero Zone VR.

Between games on Smith Street

  • Pool tables and tabletop games in the lobby keep waiting players busy.
  • A licensed bar and coffee are there too, for those sitting out a round.
  • Free on-site parking keeps arrivals simple for mixed groups.
  • Food comes through a local catering partner, arranged by the booking coordinator.
